It recognizes initiatives by organizations, institutions, or individuals that inform, engage, and contribute to positive change through their subject matter, intent, or outcomes. All shortlisted entries that embody the essence of this special award are eligible for consideration.

Presented in memory of the festival’s founder, Cora Chinbuah, the Corazón Award honors an entry that embodies emotional truth and human connection. It celebrates storytelling that evokes powerful emotional responses - ranging from joy to sorrow - and reflects sincerity, empathy, and heart, in the spirit of Cora’s legacy. All shortlisted entries whose themes and tone embody the essence of this special award are eligible for consideration.

This award celebrates the work that resonates most with audiences, giving the present participants a voice in selecting their favorite entry during live voting on Awards Day in Berlin, Germany. Shortlisted attendees can apply for a slot to present their winning entry to the audience.
