Each entry is evaluated by an independent international jury following a clear and consistent process.
Assessment Criteria
Quality of execution
Creativity and Originality
Relevance to the selected Award Tag
Award Tags clarify the strategic intention of the entry and define the context in which works compete. Although many projects address multiple goals, the chosen Award Tag identifies a primary strategic intention you want the jury to consider during evaluation. Only submissions that reach the required minimum score receive an award.
Our jury consists of experienced professionals actively working across the international media and communications landscape, including:
Creative Directors
Producers and Executive Producers
Communication and Brand Strategists
Editors and Writers
Filmmakers and Media Producers
Digital and Audience Engagement Specialists
University Professors and Academic Experts in Media, Communication and Design
The composition of the jury reflects the breadth, diversity and expertise of the industry, combining both practical professional experience and academic insight to ensure a well-rounded evaluation.
The WorldMediaFestival is committed to a judging process that is:
Independent
Impartial
Professionally rigorous
International in perspective
Focused on communication excellence
To guarantee fairness, all jurors commit not to evaluate entries where a conflict of interest may arise.
As part of this commitment, entries are not assessed by competitors, clients, or professionals directly connected to the submitting organisation or project.
In addition, jurors commit to approaching every entry with respect, care and professional integrity, recognising the dedication behind each project.
Share your most impactful media projects and compete on an international stage.
All entries are evaluated by an independent, international jury of industry professionals from the fields of television, corporate, digital and print communication. Our jurors bring expertise from roles such as creative direction, producing, communication strategy, brand storytelling, editorial work, filmmaking and audience engagement.
Each submission is assessed according to a defined set of criteria, including:
Creativity and originality
Quality of execution and production
Effectiveness in addressing the intended target audience
(this element carries double weighting)
Relevance to the focus indicated by the Award Tag
Award Tags reflect a focus of the entry — such as a communication purpose, an audience group, or a stylistic approach.
Many projects naturally have multiple aims, but choosing a tag highlights the aspect you consider most central for the jury to take into account.
Tags do not score points on their own, but they help the jury understand the intention and context of the work so that effectiveness can be judged appropriately.
While each entry is evaluated on its own merits, works that share the same Award Tag ultimately compete within that focus area.
Participation does not guarantee that an entry will be awarded.
Each submission must reach a minimum jury score to qualify for an award.
If this threshold is not met, the jury may decide not to award within that focus area.
This approach ensures that each entry is evaluated fairly, consistently and on its own merits, regardless of the chosen format or communication objective.

Individuals may not participate as entrants and jurors in the same year.
All jurors formally commit to not submitting work during their term and to declaring any situation that may create a conflict of interest.
This safeguard supports independence and impartiality in the judging process.
Former jurors may submit entries again in future years once their jury term has ended.
All entries are reviewed according to the same criteria and scoring system, ensuring equal treatment for every participant.
We take pride in delivering a judging process that reflects the values of the WorldMediaFestival:
quality,
integrity,
and a celebration of outstanding communication work across all media formats.
